One of my micro-resolutions, that I didn’t put on my 2016 Resolutions list, is to blog and keep my website updated. Last year, I was doing fairly well at that, until I hurt myself in July. Then progress on all projects fell to shit. I did at least one major update post per month for the first half of 2015. I’d like to continue the monthly update and possibly bump it up to two posts.

Fortunately, i’ve already started to make progress towards some of my major resolutions. My major goal for this year is to put a considerable amount of effort towards live streaming. The first major step in that process for me was to get an internet connection that can handle the speeds needed to broadcast.

Last week, I finally got my shit together and ordered the new internet. So, as of January 22nd, i’ll hopefully have streaming quality internet. I honestly have no idea how this is going to turn out but it’s something that i’ve been unable to do for the bigger part of a decade. I’m looking forward to trying to build a community and further my projects.

Speaking of furthering my projects, I’ve made some good progress in redeveloping my “Oh No, Zombies!” game. I’ve managed to come up with a version that increases player interactive, keeps all players in the game until the end, and hopefully ups the states for the players. All without requiring much more artwork, just some retooling. I’ll post more on that project as it develops.

So for those keeping track… 1 resolution down and 6 to go.

New Internet, Stream 3-4 Per Week

I’ve been intending to do this for the last couple months. I really want to get more into live streaming but I’ve been handicapped because of my internet speeds. So getting the new connection will allow me to stream on Twitch.

Start Running. Lose 15 lbs

Its been two years since I last actively worked out. I’ve gained 15lbs as a result and lost all the muscle I had gained at the time. Fortunately, I’ve lost this much weight multiple times and find it fairly easy. Two months of running every other day with proper supplements should do the trick.

Backpacking Trip: Vancouver

It’s been nearly two years since I last travelled anyway significant and that just isn’t acceptable for a guy in my position. I need to see more of the world. So, if I can pull it off, I’m hoping to do a week long backpacking trip around Vancouver. It wont be crazy expensive, hopefully around $1800 for the the entire trip. I’ve never travelled on my own and I think that it’s something that I need to tackle.

Party Clash: Card Game

This was one of my resolutions from last year. I managed to develop the project to prototype stage and also had a few test games of it played by a few friends. Though I spent most of the time this year developing a game called “Oh no, Zombies!” so I didn’t manage to get farther in development of Party Clash. Currently the game lacks a mechanic that I just haven’t figured out yet.

Finish Oh no, Zombies

I managed to create a playable prototype, complete with artwork, last year. The game is fully functional but lacks stakes for the players. I need to find a way to build pressure for the players and to better pitch them against each other.

Start A Podcast

This is a carry over from last years resolutions. I intended to start one but somehow never got around to it. I’d like to say I will start one this year but it may be trumped by my other goal of trying to stream on Twitch. I’m not going to put a priority on this but we’ll see.

Youtube Videos. Vlog/Music

Another hold over from last years resolutions list that I entirely failed to accomplish. I started a number of new accounts, including youtube. So, the goal is to attempt to begin vlogging a little more this year. Not too much… just a little more than nothing.
